Reignited With Hope

Here I sit waiting for the oil to be changed in the car on
this sunshine filled afternoon, the Monday before this year's national day of thanks.

The day set aside to collectively, consciously, concentrate on what in your life you can particularly, specifically feel grateful for.

I sit here feeling less grumpy, taking a breath and changing my mind one degree at a time. It has been one of those moments where, despite my best efforts, sadness had over shadowed my heart and hope for better things went out for coffee.

It is rather quietly astonishing how the tiniest things can serve to shake you free from the city limits of Grumpy Town!
Nothing is different, all the things that were bugging me, bumming me out, and stealing my smile remain unchanged.

As I drove down the road, the fall leaves that covered it were stirred up, flying, floating, drifting. That instant felt like Fall. That instant, my heart reignited with hope. I decided to grab hold of it with both hands. It is the eyes of hope that we must choose everyday to look through, to see beyond what the plain eye observes. Past the unchanged circumstance. Past logic. Past impossible. Because, it is beyond where all that the desires of your heart dwell. You could settle where you are, settle with what is around you. So could I, but why on earth settle when there is more for you? More for your life?

Today the leaves stirred my hope. Be on the look out for something to stir yours..................

                                        NEVER SETTLE
