Patty Rose

An amazing woman left this earth yesterday. She traded up and went to heaven. Too soon if you ask those that love her, too soon for those right in the middle of life with her. No one was done yet and still she went.
Struggling for a satisfactory answer. None to be found. Face it, answers aren't wanted, Patty Rose is who everyone wants. Save the explanations and give her back to us. That is what the heart cries out for, only her. Her laughter, her smiles, her courage left a mark on the lives she touched. Forever changed, forever altered these lives she touched, leaving Jesus and His love in her wake.

The most shocking thing to me about death is that we live on. When someone dies that we cherish, they take their last breath and we take our next. The sun comes up and the stars continue to hang just where God placed them. School bells announce that class is in session and mailmen leave ads, bills, and assorted letters in our box. We eventually get hungry, sleepy, and stinky--(showers required)--phones continue to ring, trash is picked up and the floors need attention from the vacuum. We continue to breathe because our purpose is unfulfilled. We are still in process of purpose. We cry. We live on. We cry. We carry on. We cry. We remember. We cry. And then one day we smile because we remember. We take our next breath and the sun greets us with a fresh day. We hold tight to our Father that never left us alone and held us close and tender in our pain. We step out once again to meet the day, face the world and make a difference. We take our next breath, our next step and we are not alone. We live on.  How is it possible that we can do this? When you hurt so deeply? Of all the answers I do not have I know this; we live on and carry on because He lives. He lives in our hearts and He helps us step forward,
one heartbeat at a time.
